Three pieces of advice from one anxious mother

A first child, a daughter, moving a few hours away in the car left this mother feeling “worried, anxious, sad and empty“. That sounds miserable.  Her daughter moved into a house with strangers, and mamma was worrying about how they would manage their finances, including paying the rent and their bills? And what about being happy, and making friends?

“It’s a strange time. Quiet.

My advice to other parents is

keep busy

talk about your feelings

and don’t burden them with your woes
